Paddington Bear is easily one of the most famous bears in the world! Much like Winnie The Pooh, he is an icon of British children's stories, and beloved by people everywhere.
He was born in Peru where he was brought up by his Aunt Lucy, who sent him to England when she moved into a retirement home. He arrived at Paddington Station, where he was found by Mr. and Mrs. Brown. He was wearing nothing but a hat and a label round his neck with the words “Please Look After This Bear. Thank You.”
When Paddington first went to live with the Browns they bought him a blue duffle coat which he wears most of the time. Paddington sometimes completes his outfit with a pair of Wellington boots.
