Created in 1955 by accomplished designer, Jean Barber, this cheerful character appeared in that year’s trials book, simply named ‘Teddy T’. Legend has it that at The British Industries Fair in the same year, attended by Queen Elizabeth II, Her Late Majesty was introduced to the new 'Teddy T', and subsequently exclaimed 'what a cheeky little bear!'.
As a highly accurate replica of the original Cheeky Bear, this replica is crafted from amber-gold mohair plush, with rich chocolate-coloured pure wool felt and cotton velvet, complete with characterful, bright eyes and a powder blue, grosgrain bow to finish.
Presented in a pure cotton dust bag with a Certificate of Authenticity.
