Pipedream Bears are made in Stockport, Manchester by sisters Jan Cardey and Sue Heap. They have been making bears since 2000 and have won awards for their work. Jan and Sue make bears in mohair or upholstery fabric with Jan specializing in a traditional, vintage style and Sue creating a more modern, 'cute' style of bear. They also make tiny bears from chenille pipe cleaners. When not making bears the sisters love to show their pedigree Pugs and have a achieved a 1st at Crufts! They both love homes with a 'shabby chic' style of interior and abhor minimalism. As children, they lived in Australia for a few years, their teddies went with them and back to England, where they now sit in their workroom. Jan and Sue say they love meeting bear collectors and fellow artists when they get the chance.
