Bears are created by Karen Brentnall. Karen lives in Derbyshire
and makes traditional, old looking bears and what she calls 'cute
bears'. In fact, something collectable and appealing to everybody.
She makes mainly one-offs but sometimes, small limited editions.
Her bears have been featured in the Teddy Bear Times magazine.
Karen has worked as a ceramic artist at the Royal Crown Derby
where she painted birds and figurines. An item of her work, a
Derby Dwarf, was commissioned for the House of Commons and Karen
believes the work is sitting somewhere with the MPs!
Very family orientated, she loves her family life and says her
husband and two boys give her lots of support.
When not making bears, Karen likes to relax in her quiet and
peaceful garden or indulge in some frantic shopping for bargains! |
