June Kendall is the creator of Hardy Bears, small bears but full of character. Sometimes the bears are undressed, but usually they have some clothing accessories. June lives in Dorset and has been making bears since 1990. She has always been a painter, she says, that's why an artist appears on her labels. She also enjoys all types of sewing and embroidery. As well as being a keen gardener, June belongs to wildlife organisations and takes a keen interest in her local history. She also makes miniature doll's house furniture at 1/12th scale.
