Andrew has been designing and making bears, here in Norwich, since 2003. Andrew started as a teenager and has develped his style with research into vintage and antique bears, as well as being inspired by the bears from his own childhood and bears owned by family and friends. Andrew says he tries to get the look of a genuine old bear by using traditional materials and techniques, as well as using his own techniques to age and colour the bear. Each bear is different in style because Andrew likes to re-create the kind of bears that someone may have owned at one time, perhaps passing them down through the generations. The age range varies from the 1900's up to the '50s and '60s and each bear is unique, one of a kind
